I’m excited about today’s updates—there’s something for everyone! Tutoring enhancements, tweaked Assignment Review reporting, and more! Let’s dive in.

Today’s Updates

  1. Remember the subject
  2. Improved multi-tier Assignment Review reporting
  3. Buffer period for Upswing coaches

Remember the Subject

Starting today, when a student searches for a subject then goes to schedule a session, Upswing will remember the subject and pre-fill it in the request form!

Previously, students would have to select the subject a second time, often from a long list. While this minor annoyance may not have been stopping many students from scheduling sessions, it’s still a nice improvement and it’ll come in handy for some of our future developments! 🤫

Improved multi-tier Assignment Review reporting

Many of our Assignment Review colleges have custom approaches to how they use asynchronous tutoring. To reflect that, we’ve updated the Assignment Review Dashboard to include better information on each step in the paper’s journey from tutor to tutor so that you can get a more granular view into your process.

Buffer period for Upswing coaches

Even though we strongly encourage students to schedule their sessions at least 2 hours in advance, we understand that sometimes students can’t make that happen. Unfortunately, this can be a stressor on our coaches, especially for sessions scheduled less than 15 minutes in advance. So starting today, students are unable to schedule sessions within 15 of the current time (they can still start immediate sessions) with Upswing coaches. We plan on expanding this functionality in the future, but for now this should lead to fewer issues with coaches not being able to make appointments due to the lateness of the request.
